About Ghibli Park

Ghibli Park is a park that represents the world of Studio Ghibli, created with close consultation with the surrounding forest.
There are five areas within the large park: Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke Village, and Valley of Witches.

How to Get There

For an optimal experience, we recommend taking the Linimo to reach Ghibli Park.
From Nagoya Station, board the Higashiyama Subway Line towards Fujigaoka and travel to the last stop, Fujigaoka Station. From there, transfer to the Linimo and disembark at Ai-Chikyuhaku Kinen Koen station.
Direct buses are also available from Nagoya Station and Chubu Centrair International Airport.

Hill of Youth

The Hill of Youth showcases landscapes reminiscent of scenes depicted in Studio Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart. Goro Miyazaki, the director of Ghibli Park, named this hill "Seishun no Oka" (Hill of Youth) based on the film Whisper of the Heart, depicting junior high school students' struggles to pursue their dreams during adolescence.

Elevator Tower

This elevator tower was refurbished to reflect the fantastical scientific world seen in Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle, set in the late 19th century.

Visitors can ride the elevator without a Ghibli Park ticket.

World Emporium

You will see the World Emporium, which is based on the antique store the main character happened to come by after she was led there by the cat in Whisper of the Heart.

When you go inside from the second floor, you'll discover a collection of antique furniture, dolls, and wooden horses. Descending downstairs, you'll encounter a violin workshop.

The Cat Bureau

Nestled within Hill of Youth is The Cat Bureau, inspired by The Cat Returns. This one-story wooden building replicates the size of a cat, even its interior.

The construction process mirrors that of the actual structure, starting from the foundation and culminating in the assembly of the timbers.

Ghibli's Grand Warehouse

Located a 5-minute walk from Hill of Youth, is Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. From the screening room to the three special exhibitions to the shops and café, the warehouse is absolutely bursting with "Ghibli."

Ghibli Park houses a warehouse that stores artworks and sculptures exhibited in special exhibitions at Ghibli Museum, Mitaka, along with various other exhibitions in Japan and abroad. A screening room shows short-animated films created by Studio Ghibli. Additionally, the children's playground specially designed for Ghibli Park awaits featuring the iconic Cat Bus from Ghibli's works.

The first thing that catches visitors' eyes in the Grand Warehouse is Central Stairs, adorned with vividly colored tiles, connecting the first and second floors.

Once atop the staircase, colorful buildings unfold before your eyes, leaving you filled with wonder about where to begin and what lies ahead.
