Obara Shiki-zakura tree are descendants of stock first brought here in feudal times by an oriental medicine physician who brought cuttings from the Nagoya area.
To see the amazing sight of their delicate pink blossom contrasting beautifully with the vivid red of nearby autumn foliage, come between mid October and mid December.
