Futagawa-cho and Oiwa-cho are in the district where an atmosphere of the Edo Era still remains. Many houses line both sides of a narrow street in the east of Futagawa Station on the Tokaido Honsen Line, and old houses dotted on the old road inherit an old atmosphere of the old Tokaido Highway.
Futagawa-juku Honjin located at the old Tokaido Highway was reproduced based on old sketches of the building in 1988. The Shoin-to which has an upper room, the entrance building and the main building make a distinct picture of the entire Honjin. Futagawa-juku Honjin Shiryoukan built adjacent to the Honjin exhibits materials covering the then Futagawa-juku and transport in the recent age under the themes of Tokaido, Honjin and Futagawa-juku. Special exhibitions covering history are also frequently held. Various Futagawa-juku Honjin festivals are held combining with the seasons such as Daimyo Parade and the girls festival.
