Dainichi Ofukuroan is a direct shop of "Dainichi Foods", a pickles manufacturing company. It produces lots of prepared dishes and pickles using local vegetables, such as "Fuki" (Japanese butterbur), which Tokai City boasts the largest production of in Japan. Most popular are "nukaduke", vegetables such as cucumbers and eggplants pickled in brine and fermented rich bran.
