Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium is conveniently located at the Nagoya Port Garden Pier very close on foot from the Nagoya Port Subway Station and is consisted of the North Building and the South Building. It exhibits marine mammals in a vivid way. Like dolphins and killer whale(Orca) that have adapted themselves for the marine life in their long history under the theme of "During their long journey of 3.5 billion years, these animals have returned to the ocean. The theme of the South Building is "A journey to Antarctic Pole. " It has about 30,000 creatures of 350 kinds that live in 5 oceans from around Japan to the Antarctic Pole. There are a number of theaters including the Ocean Theater that shows the power and nature of oceans are available so that you will never be bored. You can also watch the process from hatching to the growth of sea turtles, the kings of the ocean at the breeding research institution of turtles in the world level.
