WHAT'S SHORYUDO(Central Japan)

So-called "rising dragons" are said to bring happiness. Shoryudo is a travel route which runs south to north from Aichi to Toyama and Ishikawa, and likens the whole region to the figure of a rising dragon because the Noto Peninsula at the north end of the route resembles the head of such a beast.

Many place-names and legends associated with dragons remain in the region. Attractive aspects of Japan are to be found in concentration, with beautiful nature which changes with the seasons, fresh food blessed by mountain and sea, hot springs, traditional festivals, historic and cultural heritage and more scattered all over the region.
