Shitara-Town Yagumoen Fishing Weir (Yagumoen Kiyosakiten)
A Fishing Weir & Restaurant in the Vicinity of the River
One of the famous items here is the large, sandal-sized gohei-mochi made from pounded rice covered in miso or soy sauce and grilled. In the summer, enjoy BBQ or sweetfish catching in addition to the tempting scents of the freshly grilled sweetfish cuisine.
In winter, Yagumoen offers dishes made with wild game caught by a local hunter. To make the taste easier to eat for those who aren't used to it, wild game is added to familiar Japanese menu items such as yakiniku set meals or miso-nikomi udon noodles.
