KARIYA City Museum of History highlights the history and culture of Kariya City’s citizens—for some 10,000 years since Japan’s ancient Jomon period. The establishment disseminates all the history, culture, and allure connected to Kariya through its permanent exhibition which showcases the city’s history, available in the History Plaza; a hands-on approach to its festivals in the Festival Plaza; and three rotation exhibitions a year. You can even try your hand at simple crafts here (weekends and national holidays only).

Access by public transport: Approx. 15-min. walk from Aizuma Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line or Kariyashi Station on the Meitetsu Mikawa Line.

Access by car: • Approx. 20 min. from Nagoya-Minami Junction or Toyota-Minami Interchange on the Isewangan Expressway.
• Approx. 15 min. from Hitotsugi Interchange on Route 23 (Chiryu Bypass) from Nagoya.
• Approx. 20 min. from Noda Interchange on Route 23 (Chiryu Bypass) from Toyohashi.
