An experiential spot to SEE, TOUCH and LEARN about the fascinating Handheld Cannon Fireworks Tezutsu Hanabi!

The silhouette of brave men anchoring huge bamboo tubes reinforced with hemp yarn in their torsos, from which tall pillars of fire shoot to the air. All to the sound of a roaring noise and the reddish background painted by the profuse sparks. These are the Tezutsu Hanabi Handheld Cannon Fireworks of Toyohashi, and in this amazing city with this spectacular tradition, interested visitors can now learn more about this bedazzling culture that boasts history exceeding 450 years of age, at the Tezutsu Fireworks Experience Park, recently inaugurated on the 13th floor of Toyohashi City Hall.

    From Toyohashi Station (reachable from Nagoya Station using either JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line, or the JR Tokaido Shinkansen), take the Toyotetsu City Line tram from Ekimae Station and alight at either Shiyakusho-Mae or Toyohashikoen-mae stations. Walk 3min northwards.
