Ride the one-and-only Linimo out to a one-and-only expo park

Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (also known as "Moricoro Park") was built for the EXPO 2005 AICHI JAPAN, held in 2005. The expansive park premises offer grassy plazas, areas to play in the water, a cycling course totaling 5.1 km, playground equipment letting you experience nature, and many other exciting spots for both children and adults. Why not hop on Japan's first maglev train—the Linimo—and experience the park for yourself?

Recommended children's hall for kids to run around to their heart's content

Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park)

Each floor of the four-story Aichi Children's Center is made completely for children to play with playground equipment and open spaces—in other words: a kid's playhouse paradise. Tunneling hallways up in the air, ropes to swing on like Tarzan, and other athletic play equipment comes together at Challenge Tower. Indoor, the establishment is perfect for rainy days or cold weather.

Enjoy dynamic skating!

Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park)

An ice skating rink befitting the skating kingdom of Aichi is open year-round for you to enjoy sliding on the ice whenever you like. Ice skating shows by prominent skaters are also held from time to time. Don't have skates? Just rent a pair. (Chartered use of the rink requires advance reservation.)

Snack and sip on matcha tea while gazing upon a beautiful Japanese garden

Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park)

The Kanaretei teahouse opens its doors Tuesday through Sunday (with the occasional exception) to serve you matcha green tea. Enjoy a matcha tea and Japanese sweets set for JPY 500 at this authentic Japanese-style teahouse. Don't worry if you aren't versed in the ceremonial tea customs as anyone is free to come and enjoy a cup! The outside garden is open to the public on the second Sunday of each month only, but if you participate in the annual tea ceremony, you even get the chance to walk around in it.

A facility letting you come in to contact with and learn about nature

Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park)

The Mori no Manabiya field center lets you experience nature, create crafts, and more. Exhibits and a variety of programs coinciding with the seasons are also available.
Walk together with a guide in the Guided Forest Tour as you get closer with nature and learn more about it. The Kame no Ike course lets you go on a walk around a turtle pond—otherwise inaccessible—to experience amphibious creatures and scenery. A forest course is also available.
