Experience the Dawn of Nobunaga!

On May 19th of 1560, the army of only about 2,000 soldiers of Oda Nobunaga defeated the 45,000-strong army of Imagawa Yoshimoto at the Battle of Okehazama, in a dramatic combat of the likes only rarely occurring in Japanese history, and on a day that became the turning point for the solidification of Nobunaga as utmost military power, and starting his ascent as Unifier of the Country.
Experience the authentic reenactment of the happenings on that pivotal day in history, starting with the "Marching Off from Kiyosu Castle", stopping for the "Victory Prayers at Atsuta Jingu Shrine", and concluding at the "Great Victory in Okehazama"!

Order of the Day

•Kiyosu Castle
"Marching Off from Kiyosu Castle"

Following the dramatic reenactment at the Japanese Garden at the base of Kiyosu Castle's Tenshu Tower at dawn, Oda Nobunaga mounts his ride and marches off for the battle. Also scheduled: photo shooting session at Otehashi Bridge and special admission for sightseeing of Kiyosu Castle.

•3:30 AM - Kiyosu Castle Gate Opening (guest must enter the premises until 4:00 AM)
•4:00 AM - Traffic at Otehashi Bridge (west of Kiyosu Castle) blocked.
•4:20 AM - "Marching Off" (Shutsujin) Reenactment Act start (move to the west side of Otehashi Bridge after the act)
•5:00 AM - Photo shooting session at Otehashi Bridge
•5:20 AM - Kiyosu Castle Tenshu Tower open to public (admission fee required)
*: A rare opportunity to see Kiyosu Castle during the early hours of the morning.

•Atsuta Jingu Shrine
"Victory Prayers at Atsuta Jingu Shrine"

Dramatic Reenactment Act of Kagura-dono Praying and Dancing Ritual, followed by keynote by the Atsuta Miyashuku-kai Society. Then, photo shoot session by the Nobunaga Wall.
Hero Nobunaga Costume Wearing and photo session with artistic group #HASHTAG.

Samurai Parade from the park to the temple, then stage reenactment act and photo shooting sessions. Additional events provided by the concurrent event, Okehazama Battlefield Festival, held in the vicinity. Stage show with Nagoya Clear's and OSU☆U.
