The Great Reunion of Inuyama City's Renowned Karakuri Mechanized Puppet Dolls!

The Karakuri Machi Meguri event, which can be translated as Puppet Dolls Around the City, is held on the streets of Inuyama Old Castle Town and features the gorgeous floats of the city, the main attractions of Inuyama Festival, held annually in spring and main object of the event's registration as an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016. But at this event, the spotlight is reserved for the Karakuri puppet dolls, their elaborate craftsmanship and impressive functionality. A chance to witness the ingenuity and dedication put forth in crafting, decorating, manipulating and preserving those timeless pieces of ancient engineering!
