Let's see some real fireflies this summer!

Estimated to be around 5,000 in number, the fireflies living on the marshes behind the Nankichi Niimi Memorial Museum start to stretch their wings with the arrival of the monsoon, swarming all around the place. So the museum hosts this two-day festival with lots of enjoyable events, such as a night museum, food and drink booths, reading sessions and more. Come and meet some of the creatures that were among those most beloved by Nankichi!

Fill the application form at Handa City Tourism Association Web Site, then call the association to confirm.
Reservations start June 1 (Wednesday), 2022
Limited to 300 guests per session.

*: Night Museum event does not require reservations.
In the case of inclement weather : Outdoor events will be cancelled and instead Night Museum and Nankichi Fairy Tale indoor events will be held.
