Tahara-City Hii no Sekimon Stone Gates

A mystical natural formation carved by the waves over an eternity

Hii no Sekimon Stone Gates are giant boulders standing along and on the ocean with mysterious, gaping holes running right though them. These holes were eroded away by the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean over eons.
The two gates comprise of Oki no Sekimon just off shore and Kishi no Sekimon along the shoreline—both illustrations of nature's astounding artistry. The name "Hii" describes the rising sun, and just as that name suggests, their magical silhouettes against the morning sun are simply breathtaking.
