Handa-City 9th Handa Float Festival

Date : 10/28/2023, 10/29/2023

Once every five years, the pride of Handa—31 parade floats—comes together to the jubilation of its citizens

But once every five years, 31 parade from 10 areas around the city of Handa come together. This time is the 9th such celebration to display the bravery of those moving the colossal floats and the illustrious beauty of the floats themselves.
Some of the highlights include the traditional mechanized puppets and their performances atop the floats as well as the scene of Handa's characteristically tall floats as they take sharp corners. Once evening comes around, lit paper lanterns adorn the floats for a surreal atmosphere different than that of the daytime.
Official merchandise is also for sale along with tourism products and more.
