Shonai Ryokuchi Park dyed in botanical yellows and pinks

Shonai Ryokuchi Park has about 700 cherry trees and some 20,000 rapeseed plants which, come spring, all start to bloom in concert. The Spring Flower Festival (excluding Monday, March 24 and Monday, March 31) highlights this spectacle with the added enjoyment of food trucks, hands-on workshops on weekends, and more. You can also find a picnic plaza (BBQ area), cycling courses, and other fun to fancy together with friends and family.
Even after the festival period, the blossoms of approximately 300 Yae-variety cherry trees meet their peak beauty.

Coaster workshop with saws Available the day of with no reservations required
Use a saw on branches pruned from trees in the park to make your own coaster.

Nagoya City Greenification Fund's Hands-on Greenification: Spring Pot Gardening
• Date and time: 10:00 am–4:00 pm (reception available until 3:30 pm); Sun, Mar 30, 2025
• Location: Grassy Plaza
• Participant capacity: 50 visitors on a first-come, first-served basis
• Price: JPY 1,000 (received as a donation to the Nagoya City Greenification Fund)
• Instructor: Nagoya Greenery Association
