One of Kariya City's top spots to enjoy cherry blossoms' botanical beauty

Behold the famous cherry blossoms of Kijo Park during the annual Kariya Cherry Blossom Festival. This park acts as the western area of the festival, complementing the flowers of Suhara Park to the north, for numerous visitors to ooh and awe at the beauty of the park's cherry trees each year.
Kijo Park features some 400 cherry trees, and when the sun goes down, lanterns light the way for spectators as they take in the beauty even during the evening. Of particular beauty is the lanterns as they light the nighttime cherry blossoms in a reflection off the park's pond surface.

    Parking availability at the facility is limited, and traffic surrounding the park increases drastically during the festival. As such, guests are kindly requested to use public transportation whenever possible to help alleviate traffic congestion.
