The Plum Blossom Festival of Minami Park in Okazaki City celebrates the coming of spring. The park's Aoi Plum Tree Grove shows guests a myriad of white and red hues with around 200 plum trees and 20 species. On weekends and national holidays during the festival period, food vendors also grace the event, so there's no need to worry about your rumbling stomach getting in the way of all this beauty.

Street performance show

Times: Three performances from 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm (times may vary slightly)
Location: Plaza outside the amusement park's Nakayoshi Tower

Mikawa Manzai Comedy performance

    • From Higashi Okazaki Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, take the Meitetsu Bus bound for Miai via Shoko Kaigisho-Mae and Midorigaoka (other lines also available), get off at Minami Koen Kita Bus Stop and walk 5 min. south.
    • From Okazaki Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line, take the Meitetsu Bus bound to Fukuoka-cho via Minami-Wakamatsu (other lines also available), get off at Wakamatsu-cho and walk 8 min. east.

    From Okazaki Interchange on the Tomei Expressway (take the Okazaki/Nagoya direction upon exiting), turn left at the Okazaki I.C. W. Intersection and head south on Route 26 for 4.5 km. At the intersection with Route 248, turn right and head north for 700 m. The park is to the left. Look for the large metallic sign of a triangle inside a circle.
