Around 400 plum trees of 29 varieties bloom at early, intermediate, and late periods during the season at one of the eastern Mikawa area's largest plum tree orchards—in an expansive 1.3-hectare area. Located in the urban center of Toyohashi City and only around 2 kilometers from Toyohashi Station, getting to it is a breeze with public transportation.
A gazebo, benches, and other spots to get off your feet are located around the orchard allowing for easy strolling as you take in the colors. During the Spring Festival, teahouses make an appearance offering tea and sweets. On Sunday, February 18, when the plum blossoms are at their peak, plum saplings are handed out for free and events like the Fire Prevention Community Campaign are held for even more fun among the beautiful blossoms.
