Do you know where the raw materials to make cosmetic foundation come from?

A mineral called sericite (ˈsɛrɪsʌɪt), or "kinuunmo" in Japanese, is the prime ingredient. This silky, fine-grained mica is extracted from a mine in Toei-Town, the only place in Japan where it is currently being extracted.

naori Mineral Foundation - Crafting Experience

The especially high-quality sericite in Toei-Town has been called a "miracle powder," and occupies a top share of the world's cosmetics market. Because of this, Toei is also nicknamed "Beauty's Land of Origin." Here visitors are able to learn about the roots of cosmetics ingredients and try their hand at crafting their own products. "naori": the only place in the world where you can experience "Beauty Tourism"!
