Toei-Town Nokiyama School
Exciting, thrilling, and leisurely
Nokiyama School is a two-story wooden mountain village school that was renovated for the purpose of utilizing the former Toei Municipal Tobu Elementary School, which closed in 2010, encouraging exchanges between residents inside and outside the area, promoting tourism, and revitalizing the village.
The official name is Toei Town Experience Exchange Center Nokiyama School, and it features facilities such as Toei Town Library Nokiyama Bunko and Café Nokki.
In the auditorium, grounds, and each classroom, you can join regular hands-on events as well as free school use. The main hands-on events (reservation required) include experiences of Japanese drumming and woodworking.
Inspired by the nature, scenery, history, culture, skills, and people of Okumikawa Toei Town, which is full of charm, and aiming to be a school for everyone where all who gather here can discover and create new connections, Nokiyama School will create energy and smiles in the Toei-cho and Okumikawa areas by conducting and managing various plans.
Please come and feel the leisurely flow of time in the wooden school building of Nokiyama School.
