Chita-City (Canceled) 11th Shimmaiko Beach Festival Fireworks

Date : 08/31/2024

  • Shimmaiko Beach Festival Fireworks

The 11th Shimmaiko Beach Festival Fireworks has been canceled on both its original date and secondary postponement date due to approaching Taiphoon No. 10.

Boom, bang... Beautiful!

This year marks the Shinmaiko Beach Festival Fireworks' 11th anniversary. Sequenced fireworks from just off the water's edge on Shimmaiko Beach, those from the water, and other spectacular fireworks displays paint the ocean surface and night sky with the dreams of all who watch.
Some 30 food trucks and tent vendors set up shop from 1:00 pm. All the eats you can... well... eat offer their savory scents: local and beloved cuisine; the staple festival foods, such as Japanese-style fried chicken and octopus balls; and fare a bit more on the luxurious side are sprawled out all around.

Shimmaiko Aoharu Day
A performance stage displays dances, songs, Japanese comedy shows, and other performances by talented students. Look forward to performances by the elementary, junior high, and high school students who take to the stage.
