A Hawaii you can get to by train!

At the Hawaiian Festival in Kira Waikiki Beach, hula dance enthusiasts from around Japan as well as flocks of tourists come together to create a fun-filled atmosphere. Renowned Hawaiian musicians entertain with live performances, Tahitian and other Polynesian dance shows, and a whole host of other events. Together with Hawaiian food trucks and Hawaiian merchandise booths, it's like you're actually there!
And how about spending some leisurely time at the nearby hot spring resort Kira Onsen and the Kira Waikiki Beach while you're in the area?

Kumu Hula Ellen Gay workshop

Kumu Hula Ellen Gay is Kumu and the late Sally Wood Naluai's neice. She continues the practice of Sally Wood Naluai's hula style. Ellen Gay teaches hula and other Polynesian dance at the Polynesia Culture Center and is one of the few to have a in-depth knowledge of Kumu Hula.
