Watch fireworks up close as they thunder through the mountains!

These annual fireworks of Toyota City's Asahi area are unique in that, due to the surrounding mountains, the fireworks can't be launched too high into the air, letting you to watch them from a relatively close distance. The location is also sandwiched between steep mountain faces and the Yahagi River, resulting in thunderous booms which echo throughout the river basin—the likes of which few other fireworks displays can parallel.
