Fireflies' dazzling dance through the night sky

Tokkawa Firefly Village's spring water is recognized as one of the Top 100 Heisei Famous Water Spots by Japan's Ministry of the Environment. The area is known not only for its clear, flowing waters but the chance to view wondrous fireflies as they dance through the night. The best time to see the fireflies is in the late evening at about 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm from around late May to late June.
