Some 3,000 plum trees blossoming in a mountainous paradise

The town of Kaminaka in Toyota City's Asahi area is home to some 3,000 weeping plum trees which show the world their colorful pedals each spring. The area around Kaminaka offers visitors a nearly one-kilometer path from the specially set up parking lot. Food vendors and more are available at the parking lot, letting you satiate your hunger before setting out on a stroll through this botanical wonderland.

Parking : Paid parking available (Shidaremomo no Sato temporary parking lot: 200 spaces. JPY 1,000/kei or standard-size vehicle [includes a JPY 100 donation fee].)

Cooperative donation fee:
The beauty of Kaminaka's approximate 3,000 weeping peach trees is only possible due to year-round management, such as cutting the surrounding grass, fertilizing, pruning, and other work. A donation fee is requested to each vehicle using the parking lot to ensure a future for the trees.
Restrooms : No restrooms available past the Asahi Tourism Association and Toyota City Hall's Asahi Branch. Use a restroom before proceeding on to the venue as the drive takes time should traffic congestion occur.
