This exhibition announces the arrival of spring during Japan's Hina Doll Festival period as it shows the elaborate dolls owned by the Owari Tokugawa clan from the Edo period to modern times. Dolls dressed in the attire actually worn by court officials during the Edo period, miniture and elaborate wedding accessories, stepped displays of three generations of modern Owari Tokugawa wives's dolls, and other ornate Hina doll exhibits only powerful daimyo families could afford decorate the exhibition room.
