A fusion of Japanese and Western culture at Noritake Garden

Among the top brands of prestigious tableware, Noritake is one of the more famous and treasured names in the ceramics industry. Started in 1904, the traditional Japanese craftsmanship of Noritake combined with western aesthetics created a range of high quality, elegant formal and casual dinnerware aimed at the European market.

Noritake Garden (Noritake-no-Mori)

A visit to the Noritake Garden, a multi-award-winning oasis developed on the grounds of the former factory, near Nagoya Station, allows you to discover, create, shop, eat and relax all in the one delightful location. The complex is divided into three zones, the Culture Zone where you can experience the culture of Noritake, the Commercial Zone, dedicated to daily living, and the Historical Zone.

Discover how fine bone china is hand-crafted and the various processes in the Craft Center, and compare them with the latest advanced technologies. Enjoy the Noritake Museum featuring classical Noritake ware from the early 1900’s and see the wide array of stunning designs through the years. You can even try your hand at creating original tableware in the workshop.

Noritake Garden (Noritake-no-Mori)

The lifestyle shop Noritake Square Nagoya offers a wide selection of dynamic tableware, kitchen and household accessories and some terrific bargains too. The Restaurant Kiln, open for lunch and dinner, offers French and Italian style cuisine on fine Noritake tableware, naturally, while the Café grand vert is ideal for a short break. The tranquil landscaped gardens among the historical red-bricked buildings provide a peaceful respite from the bustling city around it.

An excursion to the Noritake Garden is an elegant, educational and fulfilling way to while away a morning, afternoon or a whole day.
