Old Streets Lined with Miso Storehouses (Hatchokura-dori)

Situated 8-cho, (pron. Hatcho) or about 800 meters west of Okazaki Castle are the two heritage listed manufactories, still making the traditional dark red, fermented soybean paste called Hatcho Miso by hand. Take a tour of the 500 year old factory’s operations and taste the miso for yourself!
