Painting the city of Okazaki in the colors of spring

The Oto River, running along the south of Okazaki Park and Kosei Town, lends its banks to 1,300 m2 of wisteria trellises on which bunches of blossoms bloom into wondrous shades of purple.
Wisteria blossoms are regarded as a characteristic flower of Okazaki City and release their aromatic scents each year to the delight of many. Together with cherry blossoms—recognized as the city flower in 2016—they work together with the city's former flower, the Gomangoku Wisterias for a vibrant floral palette painting the city in the colors of spring. This variety of wisterias was actually recognized as a national prefectural monument in 2022 and takes the baton from cherry blossoms as the city's next announcer of spring. Take in the timeless beauty of Okazaki City's two ravishing flowers.

Note:
• Admission free of charge.
• All are free to come and go as they please and enjoy the wisteria blossoms as they like.
