A festival and fireworks show painting the summer Port of Nagoya in radient colors

The Nagoya Port Festival began in 1946 as a means to restore the joy of the local area after WWII with a parade of lantern-adorned Makiwara Boats and other festivities. Nowadays, the festival announces the arrival of Nagoya's hot summer season, and is beloved by local Nagoya citizens with Shinto kagura dances, musical stage performances, communal dances, and more.
Nagoya Port Festival ends the fun with a spectacular fireworks display featuring memorial, sequenced, musically choreographed, and other fireworks launched into the night sky. The collaboration between light in sound may bring a tear to your eye with its spectacular beauty.
