- Applications open for participation at official event celebrating UNESCO Heritage registration of five Aichi Festivals

The Cultural Properties Preservation Section, working under the Department of Lifelong Learning of the Aichi Prefectural Board of Education, will host an official event to commemorate the inclusion of five traditional Aichi festivals to the “Yama, Hoko, Yatai, Float Festivals in Japan” entry that made to the List of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage for Humanity. The event is expected to be attended by Aichi Governor Hideaki Omura, as well as authority officials of the six cities that host of the festivals. The event includes exhibition of movies and a discussion panel with related parties.
Proficiency in Japanese language is strongly recommended as no translation will be available and all written materials displayed or supplied are expected to be in Japanese.
Admission: Free of charge
