Starting from Handa Station, where the oldest railway bridge in Japan, built in 1910, still stands, you can visit places such as the MIZKAN Museum, the only comprehensive vinegar museum in Japan; the Oguri Family’s House, a heritage left by the wealthiest merchant in the city; Kunizakari Sake Culture Museum, which offers hands-on experience of traditional sake making inherited from the Edo Period (1603-1867); the Handa Red Brick Building, one of the largest brick buildings in Japan; and the Former House of the Nakano Family, a Western-style building built in the Meiji Era (1868-1912).
